Grandma Z's Guest House
Located at 214 N Walnut Ave in New Hampton, IA, this grand older property has 5 bedrooms (each equipped with a queen sized bed), three bathrooms, three living rooms, dining room, kitchen and a great porch for visiting and catching up with your family!
The house has two central air conditioning and two furnace units (one for upstairs and one for downstairs), each with their own thermostat which allows for very comfortable sleeping.
We worked hard to maintain the character of the house as we complete updates. The main staircase is oak and beautifully done. A second staircase leads from the upper floor to the kitchen area.
Gas fireplace (or at least as soon as the pandemic allows shipment of the unit) in the front room plus great oak woodwork throughout the house, many quality built-ins and almost all floors are hardwood.
This is the place to gather with family for those events that are a bit "more special!"
